Profhilo Structura presents a new frontier in facial rejuvenation with its novel lipolifting action, targeting the restoration of ageing adipose (fat) tissue within the face, rejuvenating facial structure and firmness.
While the Profhilo and Profhilo Body treatments focussed on targeting skin laxity, the innovative Profhilo Structura uses high concentration Hyaluronic Acid, injected into the deeper layers of the face which hold fat tissue, to stimulate regeneration of facial volume. As we age, we begin to lose volume and structure in the layers of our fat tissue which is a key contributor to our youthful facial structure, we call this ‘atrophy’ of adipose tissue. Profhilo Structura aims to restore atrophied areas which show loss of volume and structure within the face, resulting in a lifted facial structure which helps to restore a more youthful appearance.
Common facial areas where fat atrophy happens, which can be targeted by Profhilo Structura, are the cheeks and midface. Injecting Profhilo Structura into the superficial fat here leads to a restoration of volume in this area and resultant lifting of the lower facial structures, meaning this is a wonderful overall treatment for those experiencing jowling, hollowing of the cheeks and deepening nose to mouth lines. It is also an excellent option for those who have noticed hollowing in the face resulting from rapid weight loss, through exercise and diet, or medical treatments.

Treatment FAQs
Q. How many treatments will I need to see results?
For Profhilo Structura, we recommend an initial course of 2 treatment sessions, with an interval of four weeks between sessions. We also recommend a second course of 2 sessions to maintain results at 6 months to 1 year post-treatment.
Q. How long will it take for me to see results?
You should notice an improvement in facial volume within 2-4 weeks after the initial injection, with full results realised up to 1 month following your second session of Profhilo Structura.
Q. Are there side effects?
As with any injectable treatment, after the Profhilo Structura treatment it is normal to experience mild bruising and swelling alongside redness and some itching. These side effects should moderate within the first two weeks, with most patients finding they disappear within a few days.

Q. Who is suitable?
This treatment is suitable for anyone who is noticing a loss of facial volume due to ageing and/or weight loss. This can manifest in the appearance of jowls in the lower face, deepening nose to mouth lines and of course, a loss of volume and structure in the midface and cheeks.
Q. Treatment, Travelling and Big Events
Travelling:
Flying can increase the chances of swelling after your treatment, this isn’t a problem and it is still possible to travel around your appointment, but we would recommend using ice to combat any swelling that you experience.
Big Events:
We advise booking far in advance of any big events you have coming up to allow us to get you started on the Profhilo Body treatment with enough time for you to see the best possible results for your big day. We ask all of our patients who have big events coming up, to get in contact with us before booking so we can best arrange your treatment to happen at the recommended number of weeks before your event.
