Profhilo is a natural approach in dealing with ageing of the skin as it is ultra-pure hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring compound that contributes to the production of collagen and elastin. This treatment is perfect for anyone who wishes to add hydration, improve overall skin quality, treat fine lines, tighten and firm your skin.
Even though Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid treatment the consistency and application differs to that of Dermal Fillers. Dermal fillers are used to lift, sculpt and contour, the use of Profhilo is not used to change structure but directly treats the skin quality, skin hydration and overall condition of the skin to give a youthful appearance, and works as an incredible preventative measure for your skin.
Profhilo is also clinically proven to stimulate four different types of collagen and elastin so it has a remodelling effect. The most common areas to treat is face and neck, though it can also be used in the decolletage and hands. Two treatments are required, 2-6 weeks apart. The first to stimulate, the second to boost and ensure longevity.

Q. What is the difference between Profhilo and Dermal Filler?

Q. How many treatments will I need?
For Profhilo, we recommend an initial course of two treatment sessions, with an interval of one month between sessions.
We may then recommend top-up and maintenance sessions, depending on your body’s response to the initial treatment.
Following your first treatment, you should notice an immediate improvement in the texture and tightness of your skin within a month. To maintain best results, we advise having a second session 4 weeks after, as a two-course treatment.
Q. Treatment, Travelling and Big Events?
Travelling:
Flying can increase the chances of swelling after your treatment, this isn’t a problem and it is still possible to travel around your appointment, but we would recommend using ice to combat any swelling that you experience.
Big Events:
We advise booking far in advance of any big events you have coming up, to allow any swelling to subside and allow us to address any issues or top ups that my need performing to maximise your results. We ask all of our patients who have big events coming up, to get in contact with us before booking so we can best arrange your treatment to happen at the recommended number of weeks before your event.
Q. What is the difference between Profhilo and Teosyal Puresense Redensity I?
Both Profhilo and Redensity I aim at improving skin quality and hydration, however the way they each achieve this is different. Both are based on non-crosslinked Hyaluronic Acid but Profhilo is composed of ultra-pure hyaluronic acid which tackles fine lines and wrinkles and achieves the same hydrating and preventative effects by stimulating long term collagen and elastin production to improve skin quality and provide an additional lift to the skin.
