Trikwan’s Cupid’s Bow treatment has started a new lip filler craze that prioritises natural look over volume for all those looking for the perfectly shaped pout. The revolutionary technique created by the Trikwan team has been featured in Vogue, Allure, The Daily Mail, Tatler and more over the last half a decade!
With the ‘Bigger is Better’ lip filler trend fast fading, more patients than ever are requesting a focus on subtle, enhanced lip shape. Proud of their natural look ethos, Dr Sanjay Trikha and Dr Zoya Diwan took to revolutionise the industry with an injectable technique which would look beautifully understated. The result is their signature Trikwan Cupid’s Bow lip filler treatment, which has gained a legion of followers and coverage for being a game changer in the aesthetic industry.
The Cupid Bow treatment focuses on building enhanced definition, foregoing large quantities of lip filler which creates a shapeless look.
Following a thorough consultation comes the artistry. Your Trikwan Doctor will place filler along your Cupid’s bow, enhancing the V-shape and slightly plumping the top and bottom lip. Next, our focus shifts to enhancing the philtrum columns above the lips, often overlooked, to create a wonderfully pronounced curvature of the lips.
Trikwan’s lip filler injecting technique has taken many years to master and requires a perfectionist’s touch. Our doctors use premium quality filler with a thinner-than-most texture, which enables the very finest application for meticulously detailed, symmetric results lasting up to 12 months.
Treatment FAQs
Q. Will the procedure hurt?
Lips are a highly innervated area, hence they can be a little sore. However, we utilise multiple techniques to make the experience as least painful as possible; Ice, numbing cream and most of the filler brands have local anaesthetic in them too. Furthermore, our highly skilled doctors utilise techniques to minimise pain and discomfort.
Q. What are the follow up or aftercare procedures?
For lip fillers, there is a slightly higher risk of swelling over the next few days post treatment. Please do not worry as all the swelling settles and full integration of the product occurs over a 2 week period. The initial bumpy feeling is likely to be a small pocket of swelling which will settle down. We do not review or dissolve lips treated within a 2 week period for this reason, as the treatment needs this time to integrate.
- Avoid touching or rubbing the treatment area 4 hours after the treatment.
- No makeup should be applied to the treatment area 4 hours after the treatment. (Ensure your makeup application is thoroughly clean before applying)
- Avoid excessive drinking of alcohol for 24 hours
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
- Avoid exposing the treated area to intense heat (e.g. Sauna, steam room, hot bath, hot compress, hot teas/coffees) for the first 72 hours.
Q. When can I go back to work?
You can return to work immediately after your treatment, though you may experience some swelling that persists for the first 2-3 days. Unlike invasive surgical procedures, dermal fillers are non-invasive therefore require no extensive downtime.
Q. Treatment, Travelling and Big Events?
Travelling:
Flying can increase the chances of swelling after your treatment, this isn’t a problem and it is still possible to travel around your appointment, but we would recommend using ice to combat any swelling that you may experience.
Big Events:
We advise booking far in advance of any big events you have coming up, to allow any swelling to subside and allow us to address any issues or top ups that my need performing to maximise your results. We ask all of our patients who have big events coming up, to get in contact with us before booking so we can best arrange your treatment to happen at the recommended number of weeks before your event.
Q. What are the possible complications?
Swelling is common after the treatment and lasts between 24-72 hours, however not everyone develops swelling. It can be minimised by using ice after the procedure. Bruising is common, but can occur due to individual anatomy and tendency to bruise. This is minimised by our skillful doctors, thin needles and post-treatment care advice.
The biggest complications people fear are “fake” looking, over-filled duck shaped lips. Particularly for someone who has never had a treatment before, please do not worry. This simply does not happen so long as you are receiving the best products, in the correct quantity for you, being delivered with the best techniques.

Testimonials
What our patients really think...
Amazing experience! Thank you Dr Zoya and Tammy for making my experience a lovely one. I could not be happier with my lips! The team is really professional and friendly. This was the first time I was getting fillers and I can’t thank Dr Zoya enough, she took the time to understand exactly what I wanted – a subtle enhancement and that is exactly what the results are! She put me at ease and worked her magic. Can’t wait to return for my top up. Highly recommend!
My absolute favourite aesthetics doctors – results are always incredible and so natural. I’ve hadn’t number of fillers including lips and eye troughs which are both outstanding and very tricky to do perfectly! Facial architects! Have been to various top doctors and there is a reason these two amazing people are always winning awards ❤️🌟
