Who is a Trikwan patient?
Many of our patients are first time patients, brand new to the idea of getting a tweakment. We understand more than most the key importance of ensuring a natural looking result. “The secret to a good treatment is one that no one can tell you’ve had done, apart from yourself”. If YOU can tell someone has had work done, it perhaps has not been done too well? The best approach is always to start very subtle. You can always build up slowly from subtle, but it’s hard to go backwards from overdoing it. It’s our responsibility to ensure we use the least possible to give the best result for you, based on your concerns.

Not all clinics are the same, not all doctors are the same, not all products are the same and not all techniques are the same. The aesthetic industry is definitely a scary one for patients, due to the huge variation in quality across the board. So, make sure to ask questions, like the following, and only continue if you feel happy with the answers you receive:
- How experienced is your practitioner?
- How many cases have they done?
- Where are their before-and-afters?
- Where are their real patient reviews?
- Are they in a CQC listed medical building?
- Are they GMC registered medical doctors?
- When did they specialise in aesthetics?
- Do they do aesthetics full time?
- Are they teachers and trainers within the industry?
- Are they researchers out there publishing best practice?
- What press have they done?
- What products to they use?
- What do they do if something goes wrong?
- What happens in any worst case scenarios?
- What are the worst case scenarios?
Consultation
Educate.
Once you’re satisfied that our clinic is the most suitable place for you and your needs, you’ll book in for a consultation with one of our husband and wife team, Dr Sanjay Trikha and Dr Zoya Diwan. At your appointment we will start with exploring why you’ve come to visit us, your concerns, how they are affecting you, your medical history and what treatments you think might work for you. It can be helpful to have some pictures to hand of what type of results you are looking for.
We will move on to examine your area of concern, inform you about what is causing your individual concerns, give you a sense of which options are available to you, and discuss which treatments we think will get you the best results.
Together, we will then draw up a unique treatment plan and provide information about the treatments you have opted for. We will guide you through the consent process and make sure you are fully informed on any risks that may be associated with your treatment. We want every one of our patients to leave our clinic feeling educated and better informed than when they entered, whether you opt for treatment or not.
Our doctors try to provide you with an educational experience with every consultation. The more you know and understand about your treatment plan, the happier you will ultimately be. You should always understand exactly why certain treatment plans are suggested, along with why certain products and techniques are used. It’s important for us that our patients enter our clinic with an idea of their concern, but leave with a total understanding of their concern and what is causing it.
Treatment & Aftercare

Once you are happy with your treatment plan, we can perform the treatment on the same day if you feel you are ready. We will fully inform you on the treatment procedure before we get started, so nothing will come as a surprise mid-treatment. As a policy, we take before and after shots during your treatment so that we can assess the impact of treatment. These pictures are kept completely confidential in your patient file. Should you wish to allow the use of your photos for social media and marketing purposes, then we will walk you through the consent process for this, and you will always retain the right to have these removed from any of our platforms at any time.
After your appointment we will send you our post-procedure guidance for your treatment. You should follow the recommendations in this document, and anything you are instructed to do during your appointment, in order to get the most out of your treatment and gain optimal results. In your aftercare you will find information on the normal processes you should expect post-treatment, how long it may take to see your final results and what to do should you be concerned at any point after leaving our clinic. We may also arrange a follow up or review appointment 2-6 weeks after your treatment to see how you are getting on and top up any areas that need it.
Ultimately, we want you to leave our clinic feeling empowered. Our aim is to help you gain the confidence you need to live your life to the full, to achieve your goals in all aspects of life and to aim high. We take pride in what we do for our patients, and our aim is for our patients to feel proud of choosing Trikwan for their unique journey.
