Hyalase® (or Hyaluronidase) is an injection that causes the breakdown of Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers.
If you have had a bad experience elsewhere with a dermal filler treatment, or if you would simply like to have your filler removed, this is the treatment for you.
Every one of our patients is unique, and concerns about their filler treatment vary greatly, this is why we ask you to book a consultation with Dr Zoya Diwan or Dr Sanjay Trikha so they may assess your filler dissolving needs further and treat you accordingly.
Treatment FAQs
Q. How does Hyalase work?
Hyalase, or Hyaluronidase, is an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid filler. Variations of this enzyme are also found naturally in our bodies. If you have a had a treatment elsewhere that has resulted in lumpy, overfilled or uneven filler, Hyalase can be used to break it down so that we can correct and refill the area to give a natural looking result.
Q. How long will I have to wait before getting more filler?
After your initial filler removal treatment, we will ask you to return after 2 weeks if you wish to go ahead with refilling of the area. Waiting this amount of time allows us to confirm removal of all the unwanted filler and allow any swelling and bruising to settle down before we continue with your correction.
Q. Are there any side effects?
Most people can continue with normal activities with immediate improvement in their appearance. Some will have some redness, pin prick marks, possibly swelling – particularly in the lips and possible bruising. This is a normal result of the injection. The inconvenience is temporary and generally disappears in a few hours. If it continues or if other reactions occur, please call us. Any swelling and bruising may be more apparent the next day.
In rare cases, Hyaluronidase administration can result in anaphylaxis (a severe allergic reaction) which in itself is life-threatening and requires immediate medical attention. Full details of this will be provided with your post-procedure aftercare, and we ask that you please contact the Doctors immediately should this situation occur.
Q. Treatment, Travelling and Big Events?
Travelling:
Flying can increase the chances of swelling after your treatment, this isn’t a problem and it is still possible to travel around your appointment, but we would recommend using ice to combat any swelling that you experience.
Big Events:
We advise booking far in advance of any big events you have coming up, to allow any swelling to subside and allow us to address any issues or top ups that my need performing to maximise your results. We ask all of our patients who have big events coming up, to get in contact with us before booking so we can best arrange your treatment to happen at the recommended number of weeks before your event.
Q. How long does it take for the filler to completely dissolve?
Most filler should be dissolved within the first 72 hours of treatment, however the Hyalase can also break down some of your naturally occurring hyaluronic acid, meaning it can take up to 2 weeks for the final results to be seen and the procedure may need to be repeated.
Testimonials
What our patients really think...
I literally wouldn’t go anywhere else and can’t recommend Trikwan cosmetics enough. They’re not pushy at all, and really take the time to understand exactly what it is you want. Zoya puts you completely at rest, talks you through exactly what she’s doing throughout and is an ultimate professional. The Trikwan technique is amazing, I’ve had some awful experience and Trikwan Aesthetics have completely reshaped and rectified my lips and changed my life for the better.
I spent a long time researching where to go for my lip filler top up after a disappointing experience at a well know clinic in Brighton. I had the absolute pleasure of meeting with Dr Zoya & Dr Sanjay today and received a fantastic service from start to finish. They thoroughly explained all my different options and Dr Zoya was so gentle and reassuring during my treatment. Dr Sanjay spoke with my husband at length during my treatment and he now will be booking to see him himself. Can not recommend them both enough
