Tired Eyes
Many patients come to us concerned that they are starting to look tired, and this often comes down to the appearance of the under-eye area. Dark Circles, Eyebags, puffiness, hollows and wrinkles in this area can all contribute to the look of tired eyes, but there is something we can do for all of these concerns.
The skin of our under-eye is very thin; as we age and collagen and elastin production in our underlying skin decreases and it generally becomes dehydrated, this gives the appearance of dark circles and hollows. The loss of collagen and elastin also contributes to the sagging of skin under the eye and to fine lines and wrinkles that appear around the eye. Our genetics also has a part to play in how prominent these concerns become as we age.
