Mesotherapy is a natural nourishing treatment aimed at total skin hydration and rejuvenation, without the use of large invasive needles or cannulas.
It involves the use of very fine microneedles which penetrate superficially into the epidermis of the skin to deliver its cocktail of products to the deeper dermal layers. Here cellular interaction between the components of this cocktail and your skin cells takes places to promote collagen production, fortify elastin fibres and stimulate skin metabolism.
Mesotherapy has 4 primary functions:
- Stimulate the skin’s metabolism and biochemical reactions
- Improve skin firmness and tone
- Restructure mature skin tissue
- Repair skin imperfections
It uses a cocktail of Vitamins, Minerals, Amino Acids, Hyaluronic Acid and Co-enzymes to achieve these 4-fold effects in the skin. This array of ingredients means that Mesotherapy treatment can target a variety of skin concerns including:
- Sagging skin
- Dull, dry skin
- Reduce fine lines
- Hair loss
Q. How many treatments do you recommend?
We recommend a total of 6 treatments one week apart to gain the maximal benefit from your mesotherapy treatment. Thereafter we recommend a maintenance programme of one treatment per month.
Q. How long will it take for me to see results?
Immediate results can be seen after your very first treatment and in fact, one off treatment are incredibly popular prior to big life events, parties or other special occasions. However, to gain the most benefit, which will last for the longest time, we recommend a series of 6 treatments, after which you will be able to see the maximal results of your treatment programme.
Q. Are there side effects?
As with any treatment that uses needles, however fine, there is the possibility of some bruising, swelling and redness following treatment. You may also experience some tenderness or itching as the skin heals but these complications are expected to resolve within minutes to hours after treatment.
Q. Is it painful?
This treatment is designed to cause very minimal pain and at its worst should only be mildly uncomfortable rather than painful.
Q. Treatment, Travelling and Big Events
Flying can increase the chances of swelling after your treatment, this isn’t a problem and it is still possible to travel around your appointment, but we would recommend using ice to combat any swelling that you experience.
We advise booking far in advance of any big events you have coming up to allow us to get you started on the Profhilo Body treatment with enough time for you to see the best possible results for your big day. We ask all of our patients who have big events coming up, to get in contact with us before booking so we can best arrange your treatment to happen at the recommended number of weeks before your event.
What our patients really think...
I have had a number of treatments with both Dr Zoya and Dr Trikha as well as Susana. The service and hospitality has been impeccable each and every time and Tammy, the clinic manager, always takes the time to follow up between sessions. It is one of the best experiences I have had. Thank you so so much!

I have also been recommended specific products which have made a significant difference to my skin and I have been receiving compliments on my glowing skin! Highly recommend Trikwan..my favourite skin specialists!
