PRP treatment uses your own cells to promote skin rejuvenation and healing. The treatment works by taking components known as Platelets from your blood, concentrating them and then injecting them back into your skin.
Platelets release 7+ different proteins called Growth Factors which, when injected into your skin, act to increase collagen production and stimulate new cell growth, leading to skin rejuvenation and improving skin texture and complexion.
This treatment is designed to make the most of your body’s own incredible capacity for healing and rejuvenation and requires no added artificial ingredients. During your appointment a small sample of your blood with be taken and placed into a centrifuge machine. This machine spins very fast to separate your plasma from your other blood components, and then this is extracted and concentrated for injection into your skin.
For many years this treatment has been used in the medical field to promote healing after injury to muscle and tendons, after surgery and for the treatment of Osteoarthritis.
This treatment can be used to tackle:
Fine lines and wrinkles
Mild collagen and volume loss
Crow’s feet and dark under eye circles
Acne scarring
Dull skin complexion
Signs of ageing
Loss of skin elasticity
Treatment FAQs
Q. How many treatments are required?
As always, it will depend on your specific concerns and we will tailor your treatment to the results you are looking to gain. However, we tell most patients that it is ideal to get 3-4 treatments, 1 month apart plus a top up treatment at 6-12 months to get the most out of your PRP treatment.
Q. Are there any risks?
As with all injectable treatments, there is always a very small risk of infection involved which can be minimised by having an experienced practitioner who uses the safest techniques and equipment in their injecting. You can also expect some slight redness and swelling for 1-2 days post-treatment, with a small number of people experiencing some bruising.
However, as this treatment uses products derived from your own body (known as an autologous treatment) the risks of having a sensitivity reaction to the treatment is reduced in comparison with dermal filler and toxin treatments which involve injection of a synthetic substance.

Travelling:
Flying can increase the chances of swelling after your treatment, this isn’t a problem and it is still possible to travel around your appointment, but we would recommend using ice to combat any swelling that you experience.

We ask all of our patients who have big events coming up, to get in contact with us before booking so we can best arrange your treatment to happen at the recommended number of weeks before your event.

Results will vary from person to person as everyone will react slightly differently to the treatment.

After following their work for some time, I finally made an appointment with this dream team and it was well worth the 3 hour journey.
The procedure was quick, painless and the results astonishing. A professional but friendly practice. Thank you so much!
