As we age, we lose fat and collagen in our skin and underlying tissues, which can lead to the appearance of wrinkles in all areas of the face and other areas of the body.
By injecting Botulinum Toxin into the underlying muscles of the affected area, we can temporarily stop the contraction of those muscles, allowing the overlying skin to relax, smoothing out the appearance of wrinkles.
The way Toxin relaxes these muscles can also be used to help correct facial asymmetry, reduce bulky muscles or injected into the underarm to prevent sweating.This treatment can be used alone or in conjunction with dermal fillers and skincare treatments to achieve your desired result.

Q. What are the aftercare procedures?
Toxin is a quick and safe procedure which has very little impact on usual activity on the day of injection.
- Utilise the muscles injected for the next 1 hour
- Stay upright for minimum of 3 hours
- No make up for 4 hours
- No rubbing or massaging of the injected area for 4 hours after treatment, including facials.
- Avoid excessive drinking of alcohol or medically necessary blood thinning medication for 24 hours
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
- Avoid headwear that is tightly fitted across the forehead.
- Avoid getting any facials, skin peels or laser on your face for 2 weeks.
Are there any side effects?
After treatment you may experience some bruising and small bumps (post injection site swelling). These will settle quickly and are not to be worried about.
Q. Treatment, Travelling and Big Events?
Travelling:
Flying can increase the chances of swelling after your treatment, this isn’t a problem and it is still possible to travel around your appointment, but we would recommend using ice to combat any swelling that you experience.
Big Events:
We advise booking far in advance of any big events you have coming up, to allow any swelling to subside and allow us to address any issues or top ups that my need performing to maximise your results. We ask all of our patients who have big events coming up, to get in contact with us before booking so we can best arrange your treatment to happen at the recommended number of weeks before your event.
Q. When will I see results?
You will start seeing results at 2-3 days with maximum effect at 10-14 days
For jawline slimming / teeth grinding injections or neck tightening injections, it can take up to 4 weeks for the full result rather than 2 weeks.
We offer a free top-up treatment 2-4 weeks from your initial treatment day in order to maximise your results, should you need it.
